Dr. med. Carsten Balser

Studied medicine from 2013 to 2020 at the University of Cologne. Completed a clinical year at the Medical University of Vienna, the University of Cape Town and the University of Melbourne. 2020 Dissertation in the field of age-related macular degeneration. 2020–2025: Specialist training at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the University Hospital Basel and the DRK-Kliniken Berlin Westend. 2025: European specialist examination (FEBO). Subsequently, worked as a specialist at the DRK-Kliniken Berlin Westend, specialising in retinal diseases, as well as performing surgical procedures in the field of eyelid surgery. 2026: Joined the AugenCentrum Zytglogge, specialising in retinal diseases.
